Elderly Driver Sends Car Through Front Of Riverside Bank

(CBS) – An 88-year-old Riverside motorist accidentally ran the car she was driving through the front of a bank Monday afternoon. No injuries were reported.

The driver told police she meant to park her 2000 Honda Accord in front of First American Bank, 15 Riverside Road, around noon when her foot mistakenly pushed the accelerator, according to police. The vehicle jumped the curb and crashed through the front of the bank.

No one – neither the driver nor people inside the bank – required medical attention, police said.
