Eddie Vedder May Have Termed New Mantra For Cubs: 'They're Really Effing Good'

(CBS) It was Cubs catcher Miguel Montero who termed his team's 2015 mantra: "We are good."

Now, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder may have taken it to the next level. After the Cubs' 6-4 win against the Cardinals on Tuesday evening at Wrigley Field sent them soaring into the NLCS, Vedder took a moment for an interview with CBS 2's Ryan Baker and shared his own description of the North Siders.

"They're really effing good," an exuberant Vedder said.

The Cubs will play the winner of the Dodgers-Mets series.
