"You are voting up to the Saturday before the Tuesday election. That is a first here across the state," said Neal. "It has been extended three days. Normally, we end it on the Thursday before the election. Now we are going to the Saturday before the election."

Neal says this is the first year that 17-year-olds will be able to vote if they're eligible to vote in November. He says the reasoning is if they're eligible to vote in November, they ought to be able to pick those who are running by casting primary ballots.
