Driver Injured After Vehicle Flips Over, Pins Him In Oak Lawn

OAK LAWN, Ill. (STMW) -- A driver was injured after the vehicle he was driving flipped over and pinned him early Friday in south suburban Oak Lawn.

The male driver, whose age was not immediately known, was driving in the northbound lanes on Cicero Avenue near 99th Street when his vehicle flipped over about 1:20 a.m., Oak Lawn police Lt. Ross Finnelly said.

It was unknown how the car flipped, Finnelly said.

The driver was the only person injured and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was unknown early Friday, Finnelly said.

Northbound lanes at the scene were still closed as of 3:50 a.m. as the police department's Traffic Unit investigated the crash, Finnelly said.
