(CBS) – A Justice man has been charged following an alcohol-related crash last week that left a 94-year-old woman dead, the Cook County Sheriff's Department announced Monday.

Patrick O'Connor, 29, has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence that causes bodily harm or death. His bond was set at $750,000 over the weekend, the sheriff's department said in a news release.

Authorities say O'Connor was driving a 2002 Mercury Sable westbound on Archer Avenue in unincorporated Lemont Friday afternoon when he crossed the center line near 107th Street and struck a 2011 Subaru Outback. A passenger, 94-year-old Lillian Linduska of Brookfield, was taken to an area hospital and later died.

Sheriff's detectives learned that O'Connor had consumed alcohol and had been administered methadone earlier that day, the sheriff's department said.

He is in jail and next is expected to appear in court April 14.
