Double Murder Suspect Makes First Court Appearance
(CBS) -- The man accused of killing two people, including one at a rest stop, made his first court appearance on Monday.
Terence Doddy appeared in Rock County Courthouse in Wisconsin via closed circuit TV. Doddy was arrested Friday after a police chase crisscrossed from Wisconsin to Illinois, then back to Wisconsin where Doddy eventually crashed into a tree. Police say he was high on cocaine.
He is accused of killing his good friend Todd Hansmeier last Monday in Rockford, then killing Tonya Bargman Tuesday at a rest stop in Paw Paw, Illinois, setting off a nationwide manhunt.
Police believe Doddy killed Bargman for her car, which he was eventually captured in.
