Dolton police give all-clear after barricade situation
Dolton residents were asked to stay indoors for several hours amid a barricade situation following a domestic incident on Wednesday morning.
The Village of Dolton confirmed a person connected to an armed domestic incident barricaded themselves inside a vehicle inside a car in the 14800 block of Wabash Avenue. Village officials said a SWAT team and specialized units responded, but after breaching the vehicle, no one was found inside.
Police also searched a nearby home, but no one was found.
Village officials said police have secured the scene there was no active threat to the public as of Wednesday afternoon, but police were searching for the person involved.
