Diocese Of Joliet Making Changes To Mass Amid Coronavirus Concerns

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The coronavirus is causing changes to worship at churches in Chicago's western suburbs.

Starting this weekend churches in the Diocese of Joliet are asking people attending mass not to shake hands or make other physical contact during the sign of peace. They will also stop offering wine at communion.

Church leaders are encouraging anyone who is feeling sick to stay home and not feel obligated to attend Sunday mass.
