Designer Doughnut Chain 'Glazed & Infused' Closes

(WBBM Newsradio) -- One of Chicago's hip doughnut concepts is going out of business.

Glazed & Infused is closing all locations.

The Lincoln Park, Fulton Market and Loop locations are already closed, and the River North location reportedly closes on Sunday.

"After five wonderful years as Chicago's beloved doughnut concept I have made the decision to close Glazed and Infused," owner Scott Harris said in a prepared statement from Francesca's Restaurant Group. "I appreciate all the love and support our customers have given us over the years. I've decided to focus on my existing full-service restaurant brands and look forward to developing new concepts in the future."

Just this past week, Glazed & Infused was highlighting holiday-themed doughnuts on social media. The shop started five years ago, amid a designer doughnut boom that offered an alternative to national doughnut chains.
