Derrick Rose To Miss Game Against Boston

By Cody Westerlund-

(CBS) Bulls point guard Derrick Rose won't play Saturday night against the Celtics as he deals with a pair of sprained ankles, Chicago coach Tom Thibodeau said.

"Not ready to go yet," Thibodeau said. "We'll see where he is tomorrow and go from there. I feel good about the other guys.

"Injuries are part of the game," Thibodeau added. "If a guy's not comfortable going, he's not going to go."

Rose scored 13 points and had seven assists in 31 minutes at Milwaukee on Wednesday, but he rued his lack of explosiveness in postgame interviews. He then sat out Friday's win at Philadelphia.

Rose didn't participate in the Bulls' late afternoon shootaround Saturday. He injured both ankles on Oct. 31 in a loss to the Cavaliers. He's only played one game since then.

A timetable for Rose's recovery is still unclear, as the Bulls will deal with it on a day-to-day basis. Chicago has an off day Sunday before hosting Detroit on Monday night.

Asked if there was any thought to just shutting Rose down for a longer period of time, Thibodeau responded, "Just let him go through his process."
