DePaul Stuns Sluggish Stanford, 87-72

ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) — Myke Henry scored 16 of his 29 points in the second half, leading DePaul to an 87-72 upset of Stanford on Sunday.

DePaul (3-1) led by as much as 52-34 early in the second half. Jamee Crockett added 19 points for the Blue Demons, which shot 54 percent in the field and forced 21 turnovers.

Anthony Brown scored 15 and led a charge that closed the Cardinal (4-2) within 60-55 with 8:55 to play, but they got no closer. Stefan Nastic and Chasson Randle had 16 points each to lead Stanford, which was sluggish throughout their first true road game of the season.

The Cardinal had received votes the past week that put them two spots outside the AP Top 25.

After Brown's follow-up slam gave the Cardinal an 18-16 lead at the 13-minute mark of the first half, they went scoreless for 6:02. The Blue Demons took control of the game with seven straight points and Henry dunked to close out the half on a 25-12 run, putting Depaul up 41-30 at the break.

Henry was 12-of-18 from the field and blocked three shots.
