DePaul-Providence Game Moved To Thursday

(CBS) The DePaul-Providence basketball game originally scheduled for Tuesday in Rhode Island has been moved to Thursday at 1 p.m. CT due to a massive winter storm in the Northeast that could leave up to several feet of snow on the ground.

The storm is expected to last into Tuesday.

The location of the Thursday contest in Providence is still to be determined. It will be at the Dunkin' Donuts Center if the Fleetwood Mac concert that's currently scheduled for Wednesday night at the same facility is held as planned. If weather pushes the Fleetwood Mac concert back to Thursday, the Blue Demons and Friars will play at the Alumni Hall.

If DePaul is unable to travel Wednesday because of the weather, the game will be postponed again.

DePaul is tied for fourth in the Big East at 5-3, one game back of league leader Georgetown. Providence is 5-2 in conference play.

The game will be shown on Fox Sports 1. Because of the late change, it won't be carried on 670 The Score, the radio home of the Blue Demons.
