Delgado Sets Big East Record In Seton Hall's 86-70 Victory Over DePaul

CHICAGO (AP) — Angel Delgado grabbed 19 rebounds to become the all-time Big East leader in conference games, Myles Powell scored 21 points and Seton Hall defeated DePaul, 86-70, on Sunday.

Delgado has 719 rebounds in conference games, passing former Syracuse and NBA star Derrick Coleman, who had the record since 1990 with 701. Delgado is the active Division-I leader with 1,305 rebounds and 65 double-doubles after scoring 10 points Sunday.

Khadeen Carrington scored 15 points and Desi Rodriguez 14 for the Pirates (16-5, 5-3), who snapped a two-game skid.

Tre'Darius McCallum scored 16 points, Eli Cain 11 and three other Blue Demons had 10 each.

Seton Hall led the entire way and was up 46-31 at halftime. DePaul cut the lead to single digits with eight minutes left in the game after a 9-0 run but Powell responded with a 3-pointer and the lead climbed to 19 in the final minute.
