Deep Freeze: Here's A Positive, We Are No Longer Negative

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Here's a positive about living in Chiberia during a polar vortex.

As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, we are no longer negative.

The temperature at O'Hare International Airport reached zero degrees. Shortly before 2 p.m., the temp at the airport reached 4 degrees--ABOVE ZERO.

(Oh, another good thing: Pretty soon, we won't have to hear the words "Chiberia and "polar vortex.")

Chicago spent 37 hours below zero.

That includes sixteen below zero on Monday--a record for Jan. 6.

However, with the wind chill, it still feels like minus 19 degrees right now.

By Thursday or Friday, temperatures just might go above the freezing mark.

Can you imagine what that might feel like?
