Northbound Dan Ryan Lanes Reopen Near 95th Street After Expressway Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- All northbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway have reopened near 95th Street on Wednesday morning, after a shooting on the expressway.

Illinois State Police said they were investigating a shooting reported in the northbound lanes between 95th and 91st street around 9:15 a.m.

No injuries were reported, but some of the northbound lanes were shut down near the scene of the shooting as police investigated. All lanes reopened by 11:25 a.m.

An SUV with damage to the front windshield was parked on the shoulder after the shooting, surrounded by several Illinois State Police squad cars.

No further information was immediately available.

This is the 119th expressway shooting since the beginning of the year.
