Crashed Car Bursts Into Flames On Southbound Dan Ryan Shoulder

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A car caught fire around 1 a.m. Saturday after crashing on the shoulder of the Dan Ryan Expressway while heading south just past 67th Street.

The fire grew so large it stopped CTA Red Line service.

Crew got the fire under control.

Illinois State Police say the driver was hurt but is expected to recover.
