Man robs Daley Plaza Citibank branch at Washington and Dearborn

A man robbed a Citibank branch in the heart of Chicago's Loop Thursday afternoon.

At 12:39 p.m., the robber held up the Citibank on the ground floor of the George W. Dunne Cook County Office Building, at 69 W. Washington St.

Police said the man made a verbal demand for money and implied he had a weapon.

He was described as a white male between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall, with a heavy build.

The robber was wearing a light hoodie, reflecting sunglasses, a medical mask, a gray long-sleeved shirt, a blue polo, jeans, and light sneakers, the FBI said.

No one was injured in the robbery. The FBI did not specify the amount of money the robber took.

The robber remained at large late Thursday.

After the bank robbery,  half a dozen police cars were still outside the bank. Yellow police tape blocked one of the bank's main entrances.
