Cubs Place Justin Grimm On 15-Day DL, Recall Brian Schlitter

(CBS) The Cubs have placed right-handed reliever Justin Grimm on the 15-day disabled list with right forearm inflammation. The move is retroactive to April 2.

In a corresponding move, Chicago has recalled right-handed reliever Brian Schlitter from Triple-A Iowa. Schlitter will be available for Chicago's afternoon game today in Colorado.

Grimm, 26, hadn't appeared in either of the Cubs' first two games. He had a 3.78 ERA in 73 appearances for them last season.

Schlitter, 29, had a 4.15 ERA in 61 appearances for the Cubs last season.
