Cubs Merchandise Flying Out Of Stores

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Lines were out the door Thursday as Cubs fans tried to grab their brand new World Series championship gear.

At Wrigleyville Sports, there was an impromptu seventh-inning stretch as buyers broke out in "Take Me Out to The Ballgame."

It's one of several stores selling newly minted T-shirts, hats, jackets and other items as the Cubs outlasted the Indians for a 10-inning win in Game 7 on Wednesday night in Cleveland.

Cubs championship parade, rally is Friday

The lines didn't draw complaints from Cubs fans. After all, it's not every day you see "World Series Champions" associated with the Cubs logo.

The hottest item for sale, CBS 2's Sandra Torres reports, was a replica of the Cubs' locker room hats following their victory Wednesday night. The hat was retailing for about $50.
