Cubs' Kyle Hendricks Named Co-NL Player Of The Week

(CBS) Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks has been named the co-National League Player of the Week along with Marlins outfielder Ichiro Suzuki.

Hendricks won each of his two starts last week as he continued his recent dominance. He allowed just one earned run across those 16 1/3 innings, including a complete-game shutout in a win against Miami.

For the season, Hendricks is 11-7 with a 2.17 ERA, the second-best mark in baseball. He also has a 1.02 WHIP.

Ichrio recorded his 3,000th career hit Sunday.
