Cubs' Kris Bryant Named NL Rookie Of The Month

(CBS) Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant was named the National League Rookie of the Month for May.

The 23-year-old Bryant hit .265 with seven homers, 22 RBIs and 20 runs in May, with his RBI total leading all rookies. He also had a .510 slugging percentage.

For the season, Bryant is hitting .273 with seven homers and 33 RBIs in 42 games. He leads all rookies in RBIs and on-base percentage (.387).
