Cubs' Kris Bryant Is 2nd Among NL Third Basemen In All-Star Voting

(CBS) In the latest All-Star Game voting returns, the Cubs' Kris Bryant is second among third basemen in the National League, garnering a little more than 1.51 million votes. Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter is comfortably ahead with around 3.14 million votes.

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo (1.14 million votes) and shortstop Starlin Castro (1.10 million) are fourth at their respective positions, while catcher Miguel Montero (729K) is third. Dexter Fowler is 12th among outfielders.

Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper leads all NL players with nearly 3.7 million votes. View the full results in the tweet below.

Fans vote on the starters, while players and coaches vote on most of the reserves.

The All-Star Game is July 14 in Cincinnati.
