Cubs' Kris Bryant Announces Engagement To Longtime Girlfriend

(CBS) Cubs star third baseman Kris Bryant announced his engagement Tuesday evening to longtime girlfriend Jessica Delp.

Bryant, 23, won the National League Rookie of the Year award in 2015 and helped lead the Cubs to a 97-win regular season and berth in the NLCS. He hit .275 with 26 homers, 99 RBIs and an .858 OPS. His 26 homers were a franchise rookie record.

Bryant is a native of Las Vegas.

Cubs teammates Anthony Rizzo offered his congratulations on Twitter, joking that his bromance with Bryant is coming to an end.
