Cubs' Joe Maddon Ejected After Arguing Call That Was Overturned At Plate
(CBS) Cubs manager Joe Maddon blew a gasket in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series.
After umpires utilized the confusing collision rule to call Dodgers shortstop Charlie Culberson safe at home plate on video review after he'd initially been tagged out by Cubs catcher Willson Contreras in the bottom of the seventh inning, Maddon argued and was ejected. The ruling increased the Dodgers' lead to 5-2.
