Cubs' Jason Heyward Day-To-Day With Sore Right Wrist

(CBS) Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward won't start Monday night against the Pirates as he deals with a sore right wrist, manager Joe Maddon said.

Heyward will be available to pinch hit, and he's considered day to day, Maddon added. Heyward had been experiencing some wrist pain as early as the opening week of the season in early April, Maddon revealed.

Matt Szczur is starting in right field for the Cubs and batting seventh Monday. Heyward's hitting .211 with zero homers, 13 RBIs and a .573 OPS in 23 games this season.
