Cubs Have Ferrari On Field During Spring Training Because They're Preaching Humility
(CBS) The Cubs spice spring training and the monotony of a long season up as well as any team.
On Tuesday, that meant a Ferrari was parked in the middle of the field during a workout. Because, why wouldn't you park a Ferrari on the field?
Strength and conditioning coach Tim Buss was the man behind the wheel, and he was dressed to the nines as well. There was of course a joke behind it. Manager Joe Maddon has been preaching "humility" for the Cubs, so the thought process was what could display that trait better than a sports car that sells for a quarter-million dollars?
"That was pretty good," Maddon said.
"The car continues to be parked out there, which I love. I hope everybody gets the sarcasm involved."
