Cubs Get Burned By Yankees On Twitter, But Let's Hope The Shade Slinging Continues Forever
(CBS) In an era in which online outrage is always lurking around the corner, the social media managers/staffers/creative brains/etc. of official team Twitter accounts have a tough job.
So anytime it's entertaining, they deserve a big round of applause. Even when they get burned.
And that's what happened to the @Cubs account on Monday, when an exchange with the @Yankees turned into a conversation about World Series rings. It's a battle the Cubs, two-time title winners, will never win. The Yankees, of course, have won 27 World Series crowns.
