Cubs Fans Stay Positive After Game 3 Loss

CHICAGO (CBS) – How did fans take the loss?

CBS 2 cameras captured mixed reactions.

It was a loss by one run, but a loss nonetheless, and some Cubbies lovers are taking it hard. We saw some thumbs up, but a lot of fans also told CBS 2 they are disappointed. They felt the team came alive in the ninth inning, but it was too late.

Some call this a crucial home game to win and they are worried about getting deeper in the hole with Cleveland's pitcher Corey Kluber on the mound Saturday night.

Even so, fans woke up this morning and told us they are not giving up the dream. CBS 2's Lauren Victory has more on the emotional state of fans after the game.

"It's a rough loss, but we are still in it," said John Koopman.

"It was rough, really rough," said Kyle Nader, Cubs fan. "I mean, it is either we don't score or we score a ton, so I think the tables are going to turn this game. [Game 4]"

Win or lose, fans came out by the thousands to party in Wrigleyville. Some even started waiting in line for a bar spot, around 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.
