Cubs Fans Hit The Road For Cleveland

(CBS) – Cubs fans are on their way to Cleveland.

CBS 2's Dana Kozlov was on the road Monday and saw some Chicago-area residents making their way east, across Indiana, to the start of the World Series, as Game 1 is set for Tuesday between the Cubs and Indians.

She stopped at a near-halfway point, at a truck stop in Indiana, and met up with some of the Cubs enthusiasts.

There, she met Lincoln Square resident Jeremy Bergen, with a Cleveland baseball cap, and his 4-year-old son, Maxwell, in a Cubs shirt.

Bergan says his father, who still lives in Cleveland, promised his grandson he would get tickets if the Cubs made it to the World Series.

"Dad came through, so we're on our way," Bergen said.

Maxwell's favorite Cub player is Addison Russell, he says.
