Cubs Fan Tries To Sell Car With A World Series Incentive

CHICAGO (CBS) – A Chicago Cubs fan is ready to play let's make a deal, if the Cubs win the World Series.

CBS 2's Jeremy Ross was in Wrigleyville, with the story that could potentially be a win-win for everyone.

Recently, we have seen corporations capitalizing off the Cubs success. This story, however, is focused on an individual Cubs fan.

He has pride, passion and a promotional idea.

A man is selling his car with an incentive if the Chicago Cub's win the World Series.

Dean Masini is selling his 2010 Cadillac CTS. The car specs include: a 3.6-liter engine, "one of the best engines in the world"; plenty of trunk space, 130,000 miles, all-wheel drive.

The Kelly Blue Book value of the car is $10,900. Masini is looking for an offer around that price.
So far, though, he has not received any offers.

But Masini, live-long Cubs fan, has come up with an idea that is part promotion and part Cubs devotion.

Masini has chosen to put the car up for sale, with a $1,000 cash back incentive, if the Cubs with the World Series.

He admits he would gladly pay the sum to see his team finally win a World Series.

There is the possibility that the car will not sell at his desired price. The hope is that he will have the option to drive it to a Cubs championship parade.
