Cubs' Entire Infield, Dexter Fowler Leading All-Star Voting

(CBS) The Midsummer Classic could feature plenty of Cubs.

Major League Baseball on Monday unveiled its most recent All-Star Game voting, which features the Cubs' entire infield -- Anthony Rizzo, Ben Zobrist, Addison Russell and Kris Bryant -- plus Dexter Fowler as leading vote-getters at their respective positions.

First baseman Rizzo leads all players with 2,630,049 votes. Second baseman Zobrist is second with 2,474,852 votes garnered.

Fowler leads all outfielders with 2,320,877 votes received, ahead of the Nationals' Bryce Harper and Mets' Yoenis Cespedes. He's been out for more than a week now with a hamstring strain.

Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward is fourth among outfielders with 1,485,679 votes , and Cubs left fielder Jorge Soler is in seventh place despite being sidelined for some time.

Cubs catcher Miguel Montero stands in fourth place at his position.

The Cubs could become the first team since the 1963 Cardinals to feature an entire starting infield in the All-Star Game, which takes place July 12 in San Diego.
