Cubs' David Ross On Giants: 'Experienced' With 'Lots Of Rings'

(CBS) The Cubs fully understand the big challenge that awaits in the form of the San Francisco Giants, their National League Divisional Series foe that's won three championships since 2010.

"We know they have good pitching," Cubs catcher David Ross said on the Mully and Hanley Show on Thursday morning. "They're experienced. They're going to give you a quality at-bat. They know how to win. It's a team that's obviously been there plenty of times. There's a lot of rings in that locker room. You got to bring your A game. They're going to bring theirs. They know how to play. They got a phenomenal manager I played for. It's a well-rounded team. We're going to have to do what we do best. We're all excited to get this thing started. We're ready to see the atmosphere at Wrigley."

The Cubs host the Giants in Game 1 on Friday, with an 8:15 p.m. first pitch. Here's a series primer.
