Cubs Claim LHP Edgar Olmos Off Waviers From Mariners

(CBS) The Cubs claimed left-hander Edgar Olmos off waivers from the Mariners, they announced Friday.

The 25-year-old Olmos compiled a 4.50 ERA in 14 innings with Seattle in 2015. He spent most of the season at Triple-A, where he had a 3.55 ERA.

The Mariners selected Olmos in the third round of the 2008 amateur draft.

Chicago's 40-man roster now sits at 37.
