Cubs-Cardinals Game Postponed Due To Weather

(CBS) Tuesday night's Cubs-Cardinals game at Wrigley Field has been postponed because of the forecast calling for rain and sub-freezing temperatures.

A makeup date hasn't been announced, but the game won't be rescheduled for this week, the Cubs said. The Cardinals visit Chicago in July and September, so those could be potential makeup dates.

The teams are set to play Wednesday afternoon in the series finale. St. Louis topped Chicago, 3-0, in the season opener Sunday before the teams had an off day Monday.

Fans are encouraged to retain their tickets from tonight's postponed game to use for the rescheduled contest.
