Cubs Call Up Mike Olt
(CBS) The Cubs have called infielder Mike Olt up from Class-A Kane County, they announced Friday.
Olt had been rehabbing a strained hamstring the past two days with the Cougars. He made the team's Opening Day roster and is batting .139 with 12 homers and 30 RBIs this season in the big leagues. Olt was sent to Triple-A Iowa on July 22.
Olt will be available this afternoon when the Cubs host the Pirates.
