Chicago police apprehend unauthorized man on CTA tracks in River North

Video shows police apprehend unauthorized man on CTA tracks

An unauthorized person on elevated CTA tracks was apprehended in Chicago's River North neighborhood on Monday morning. 

Just after 7 a.m., Chicago police said a 22-year-old man was on the CTA Brown Line elevated tracks, temporarily stopping CTA train service.

Video from the scene shows the man being taken into custody following a brief struggle with police. Police said the man was taken to Northwestern Hospital for medical observation. 

CTA confirmed Purple Line trains service has resumed.

Police are investigating.
