Police Investigating Stabbing On Train Near The Fullerton Red Line Station

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Police are investigating a stabbing incident that took place on a train near the Fullerton Red Line Station.

Officials said a 25-year-old man told police he was trying to calm down a fellow rider who was acting belligerent.

He said the man then attacked him and as they struggled, the 25-year-old pulled out a pocket-knife and the other man got stabbed in the thigh.

The 25-year-old was only slightly hurt and says he never meant to harm the other man, he was using the knife as a deterrent.
