Man attacked by group on CTA Red Line train near Cermak-Chinatown, Chicago police say
Chicago police said a 37-year-old man was attacked by a group of five or six people on a CTA Red Line train overnight.
Police said the victim told them he was on the train around 3:47 a.m. Monday when a group of five or six people he didn't know approached him and started to beat him.
He said they got off the train at the Cermak-Chinatown stop and ran away.
Police said the victim had some minor facial injuries and was taken to Insight Hospital in good condition. No other injuries were reported.
No one is in custody and an investigation by Area One detectives is ongoing.
