The fire, at 50th and Aberdeen streets, has been upgraded to a level one Hazmat situation due to chemicals in the area.

The incident started as brush fire and is spreading to buildings and trees in the area.
The Chicago Fire Department provided an update Thursday just after 7 a.m.
According to CFD, the fire burned trailers and there was a slight explosion.
The spokesperson described the scene as a "junk yard" with tractor trailers in an industrial area.
The fire majority of the fire is out and the incident is still under investigation.
