Crews Battle Car Fire On I-55 Near Damen Avenue

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Emergency crews responded to a car fire on I-55 near Damen Avenue early Thursday morning.

According to police, the driver of a blue 2016 Chevy Cruze noticed smoke coming from the car and pulled over in the 3500 block of North Keeler Avenue, just before 3 a.m. The smoke quickly turned into a fire.

Police said the fire started in the front end of the vehicle. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

No injuries were reported.
