Kennedy Expressway lanes reopen after semi-tractor trailer truck crash

All lanes of the Kennedy Expressway have reopened after a truck crash left sheet metal debris on the expressway.

Illinois State Police said a semi-tractor trailer truck and another vehicle collided in the northbound lanes of the Kennedy Expressway near Kostner Avenue around 6:50 a.m.

One person was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police said multiple lanes were blocked due to sheet metal debris after the crash, but all lanes reopened by 10:40 a.m.
