2 killed, 4 hurt after crash near Chicago Midway Airport
Two people were killed and four others were injured after a serious crash involving two vehicles near Midway Airport early Thursday morning.
Just before 3:30 a.m., Chicago police said a Ford Fusion made a U-turn at 5600 West 55th Street and hit a Hyundai Palisade.
The Ford driver was taken to Storger Hospital, where he died. He was identified by the Medical Examiner's Office as 28-year-old Edgar Santana.
The passenger in the vehicle, identified as 31-year-old Rocio Sanchez, was taken to the Christ Hospital in critical condition and later died.
The Hyundai driver, a 29-year-old man, was also taken to Christ Hospital in fair condition. Three passengers, including two women, 20 and 32, and a 17-year-old girl, were taken to hospitals ranging in unknown to fair conditions.
No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation by the Major Accident Investigation Unit.
