CPS Will Open Schools Early Next Week, But Parents Can Keep Kids Out

(CBS) – The Chicago Public Schools system is already looking ahead to next week, when air temperatures will be well below zero.

CPS contacted parents via "robocall" on Friday, saying schools will be open on Monday and Tuesday. However, parents do not have to send their kids to class. It would be considered an excused absence.
