CPS Backs Off New Start Times For Some Schools
(CBS) -- Chicago Public School officials have backed off from some of their plans to stagger start times at dozens of schools.
The district had hoped to save $9 million by changing times at 80 schools.
But officials say feedback from students, families, and educators led them to take another look.
Now, 48 schools will see changes.
The district says it will save $5 million as a result of the adjustment.
