CPD: Woman Accidentally Shot, Killed By Boyfriend In McKinley Park

CHICAGO (CBS) — A woman was accidentally shot and killed after police said her boyfriend's handgun went off at a backyard party in McKinley Park Saturday morning.
The woman was shot in the face at a residence in the 3700 block of South Wood Street at about 12:30 a.m. and was taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County where she was pronounced dead, according to Chicago Police.
Her boyfriend was taken into custody as Area One detectives investigate.
