CPD: One Dead, Three Injured In Humboldt Park Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago police are investigating a shooting where several people were injured and at least one person was killed in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Authorities said four male victims were shot standing outside near the intersection of Homan and Iowa on Chicago's West Side. That's where police said occupants in a light colored sedan began shooting from the vehicle.

A 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. A 31-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, who both had been shot in the leg, were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized. A 17-year-old boy who was shot in the body was taken to an unspecified hospital. His condition was not available.

Police said officers attempted to chase a white sedan allegedly involved in the incident but lost sight of the car.

Area North detectives are investigating.
