Chicago Police To Host Gun Turn In Event In Parkway Gardens Neighborhood

CHICAGO (CBS) – Chicago Police are hoping to get more guns off the streets, with a gun turn-in event Saturday.

The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at New Beginnings Church of Chicago near 66th and king drive.

Anyone who turns in a gun will get a $100 prepaid gift card. BB guns, air guns, and other replicas will get a $10 card.

All of the guns collected by police will be destroyed.
