Bears Fans Stabbed In Soldier Field Parking Lot

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police were investigating, after a scuffle among football fans outside Soldier field ended with two men stabbed.

Police said four drunk men walking in a Soldier Field parking lot at 400 E. 18th St. were loudly saying "The Bears stink," or something to that effect, around 10:45 p.m., after the team's blowout loss to the Cowboys.

Two Bears fans from Oak Lawn, ages 21 and 22, shouted back "Cowboys stink" – or again, words to that effect – and someone in another group threw a beer in the face of one of the Bears fans.

That set off a brawl, and one member of the larger group stabbed both Bears fans in the back, with what might have been a broken beer bottle. Police were not sure what kind of weapon was used.

Both victims were hospitalized.

Police said it did not appear surveillance cameras recorded the melee.
