(STMW) -- A south suburban Oak Forest man who died Sunday was at least the 21st cold-related death of the season in Cook County.

Frank Beck, 80, died Feb. 16 at Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest at 5:57 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

An autopsy Monday found Beck, of the 6000 block of Oakland Avenue in Oak Forest, died of hypothermia, cold exposure and heart disease, according to the medical examiner's office. His death was ruled an accident.

The Oak Forest police department could not immediately provide additional details on Beck's death Monday afternoon.

The last time the county saw more than 20 cold-related deaths was 2008-09, when 23 people died of cold-related causes, officials said. Last winter and the winter of 2011-2012 each saw 14 cold-related deaths in the county.
