Computer Science Teacher To Be Foster's Guest At State Of The Union

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Congressman Bill Foster will host a teacher as his special guest Tuesday night for President Barack Obama's sixth State of the Union address.

Foster is a former physicist at Fermilab in Batavia, so it's no surprise his guest teaches science and technology.

"I'm very excited to be bringing Tara Linney from Crest Hill as my guest for the State of the Union, to highlight the importance of providing a strong education in technology – and especially computer technology – for our students, to give them the skills that they will need to succeed," Foster said.

Linney said, with the new types of computer codes, her students just love to learn programming and coding.
